Primary responsibility of this position is running the day to day Zambaldi taproom operations, including:
Managing staff, communicating policies/updates to the team, coaching, scheduling, discipline and conflict management, and modeling excellent customer service. Managing the operations including the physical facility, on premise consumption of food & drinks, retail sales and support of onsite events.
This is an hourly, working manager position, with the majority of time spent on the floor, working alongside beer tenders.
5 8 hour shifts a week, including weekdays and weekends
1 weekend a month off
80 hours paid vacation time per year
Hourly plus cash tip share, credit card tip share
We are looking for someone who meets these qualifications:
A love and knowledge of craft beer
Enthusiasm and passion for hospitality
2+ years management experience
1+ year experience in the food/alcoholic beverage serving industry
Experience scheduling staff and ability to manage labor cost percentages
Experience operating POS and inventory systems
Amazing customer service skills
● Reports directly to the Owners
● Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times. Exceptional customer service is our standard.
● Collect, count, and verify all amounts of money from taproom for bank deposits, processed credit cards, and end of day reports
● Uphold company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness.
● Hiring, onboarding and training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
● Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed and labor costs are considered.
● Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the brewery, employees and guests.
● Conduct daily inspections of customer areas and alert owners if maintenance needs to be scheduled.
● Maintain appropriate inventory levels and pars of supplies, merchandise, and snacks, and communicate with the Owners to order when needed.
● Work with Owners to develop new programming, merch items, and snacks.
● Communicate with Head Brewer to maintain appropriate beer inventory.
● Help with events, as needed.
● Help on the bottling line as needed.
● Able to work flexible hours, days, evenings, and weekends
● Over 21 years of age
● Must be able to obtain a local operators license, including passing WI Alcohol Server training course
● Must be able to be on your feet for the duration of your shift
● Must be able to multitask in a noisy and fast-paced, distraction-filled environment
● Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, reach, climb and carry up to 55 pounds
● Must have reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license
● Background check may be requested
● Maintain cleanliness of break room, lab, employee restroom.
